Throughout my journey as a new age hombre, I have found some things particularly useful and/or e.g. certain books, movies, TV shows, courses, and seminars. I have also enjoyed certain men’s products above others. Listed below are some of the tools I have enjoyed in my life. I will be adding onto the list with time.
Disclosure: I am an affiliate partner of BookDepository & Amazon, which means that I will earn a small commission, at absolutely no cost to you, should your purchase the linked products. Please note that I am highly selective of the products I recommend and that either my family or I have personally found the products of great use.
Nothing quite lifts the spirits and nourishes the soul as much as a well-written book. I was a bookworm as a kid and spent the majority of my childhood in bookstores, immersing in the colorful worlds of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (Roald Dahl) and The Cat in the Hat (Dr Seuss). As I grew older, my best friend was Bilbo Baggins & Sting (from The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien) and I traded magic spells with Pug of Crydee (The Magician by Raymond E. Fiest).
As I went through my Emo and rebellious teenage phase, I wrestled a marlin with a elderly Cuban (The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway), and witnessed the demise of the once powerful Incan empire (The Royal Hunt of the Sun by Peter Shaffer). I also found myself crying in the narrow, sandy streets of Kabul (The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini).
As I grew older still (though perhaps none the wiser), I learnt more about the dying art of becoming a gentleman (How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie), and commenced my financial education in ancient Babylon (The Richest Man in Babylon by George S Clason).
I am currently the most-trusted advisor to Ramses II (Ramses: The Son of Light by Christian Jacq).

2. MEN’S PRODUCTS
Finding the right pair of men’s shoes is akin to finally finding that needle in the haystack – never let it go! It’s ridiculously tricky to find the right fit, comfort level, durability, and style in the one pair of shoes. 6 years ago, I stumbled upon Aquila, an Australian-based men’s footwear and accessories store. I have bought four pair of shoes from Aquila so far, and I have enjoyed every pair. It’s great that Aquila ships overseas too!
B. Shoe Care
“My hear leaps up when I behold, a Saphir Médaille d’Or in the sky!”. Undoubtedly the most well known shoe care product collection in the world, I only became aware of Saphir approximately 2 years ago. There is a good reason Saphir have been going strong for nearly a century – their 1925 award-winning, GOLD MEDAL (Paris) all-natural formula has remained unchanged and is used by leather aficionados the world over. I have personally noticed a difference with the quality in my shoe care with Saphir. Once you’ve tried Saphir, it would be very, very difficult going back to your former shoe care products.
C. Man Bags
Possibly appalled by the cheap plastic backpack I carried along when we were dating, my wife bought me a new bag soon after we got married. But she didn’t buy me any bag – she bought me a beautiful Flap Large goat leather man bag from Billy Goats Designs. I have used the same bag for the past 5 years and I still get compliments and enquiries about the bag. Over the past 8 years, my wife have bought three different bags from Billy Goats Designs.
If you wish to stand out from the crowd a bit, especially with a sophisticated goat-leather high quality bag, check-out Billy Goats Designs.
